What is preserved

Original page order, dimensions, crop boxes, media boxes, and embedded page content.
Existing rotation combines with each planned 90°, 180°, or 270° delta and is normalized to a valid PDF rotation.
Supported title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer, and date metadata is retained and verified.
Source bytes stay in the browser and are processed in a module Worker.

Preview and PDF limitations

The page map is an accessible status view, not a rendered content thumbnail. A reviewed PDF renderer was not added solely for this sprint.
The native preview may ignore page fragments or look different across browsers and PDF readers; pixel-perfect parity is not claimed.
Digital signatures become invalid after rewriting. Encrypted files must be unlocked in an authorized application first.
Bookmarks, attachments, JavaScript, portfolios, forms, and specialized PDF features are not independently verified. Keep the original and inspect the download in another reader.
